Privacy Policy
Lawless Tides ("the game") is a single-player game. Your progress is stored on your device. Only the premium currency (crystals), your purchase records and — if you choose to link your Apple account — your cloud save are kept on our servers (Google Firebase, data center in Tokyo, Japan). This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to delete it.
What we collect
- Account identifier: an anonymous account ID created the first time you open the game, used to keep your crystal balance. If you use Sign in with Apple we receive only Apple's anonymous user identifier — not your name or email.
- Gameplay content: only for players who link an Apple account, the game save (captain name, level, ships and progress) is backed up so you can restore it on a new device.
- Purchase history: App Store transaction ID, product, time and crystals granted, used to prevent double grants and to handle refunds. Payment is handled by Apple; we never receive your card or payment details.
- Usage statistics and crash reports (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics): anonymous gameplay events (e.g. level-ups, completed jobs, store visits), device model and OS version, crash logs. You can turn this off in Settings → Analytics.
- Install identifier: a random ID used only to check for a newer version.
We do not collect your contact details, location, contacts or photos. We show no ads, do no cross-app tracking, and never sell data.
How we use it
- To run the game: crystal balance, crediting purchases, cloud saves, daily rewards.
- To improve the game: fixing crashes, seeing where players get stuck.
- To prevent abuse and refund fraud.
Third-party services
The game uses Google Firebase (accounts, database, cloud functions, Analytics, Crashlytics) and Apple (in-app purchase, Sign in with Apple), which process data under their own policies: Firebase, Apple.
Deleting your data
In the game, Settings → Account → Delete account immediately deletes your account, crystal wallet and cloud save, and clears the save on your device. To handle refunds and keep transaction records as required by law, App Store purchase records (transaction ID, product, time) are retained but no longer linked to a usable account. Anonymous statistics are deleted automatically under Firebase's retention period.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date above; significant changes will be announced in the game.
